The Naked Truth: Real Talk about West Coast Swing is a weekly podcast where hosts Eric Jacobson and Deborah Székely have honest discussions about the dance, our community, and the impact they both have on all of us personally. Our mission is to foster more open dialogue and discourse within our community with the hopes of spurring more personal connections and improving our experience as West Coast Swing dancers.

Eric is an accomplished West Coast Swing dancer, competitor, instructor, and community leader. With a background in Lindy Hop and competitive ballroom, he began dancing West Coast Swing in 2002, and has since studied many different partner dances and hip hop. He has competed in Jack & Jills, Strictly Swing, and the Classic division, and today he competes at the All Star level. Eric teaches weekly in the San Francisco Bay Area and he hosts Mission City Swing every Wednesday night in San Francisco. He has also taught in cities and at events across the United States, Europe, and in Israel. Eric is the author of a blog about West Coast Swing, Naked Basics, in which he shares his thoughts and insights about all aspects of the dance. Deborah SzékelyDeborah Székely
Deborah Székely (SAY-kay) started dancing when she was three years old. Formally trained in ballet, tap, and jazz, and teaching since the age of 15, Deborah has also been trained at The Joffrey Ballet and Miss Christine Neubert at Carnegie Hall.

In 1995, she was introduced to West Coast Swing, and a year later, she began competing on the swing circuit with Steve Neeren. After a year of much success, she formed a partnership with then three-time US Open Swing Dance Champion Robert Cordoba. During their fifteen-year partnership, they together accumulated four more US Open titles – two in Showcase and 2 in Sophisticated – and a US Open Jack & Jill win for Deborah. They won NASDE 4 years straight from 1997 to 2000 and in 1997 Deborah was also voted favorite female dancer. In 2011, Deborah decided to pursue her West Coast Swing without a partner and is the top female traveling on her own teaching to this day.

Deborah continues to travel the world spreading her love and knowledge of Dance and West Coast Swing. Deborah also still competes In Jack and Jills and Strictly Swing in the Champions division and consistently places in the top 5.
